Everything that we build at Odulair is custom. We build on several different standardized platforms, but the interior, exterior, medical equipment, and other equipment within your Mobile Clinic will be designed just for you. With that in mind, it is a bit difficult to provide pricing before your mobile medical unit is designed and the exact specifications are known. However, there are several factors that help determine the price of your Mobile Health Unit.
Odulair manufactures medical vehicles on several different standardized platforms. They include:
Each of these platforms has its own positives and negatives. To learn more about the platforms that we use, click on STEP 3 CONFIGURATIONS.
Odulair manufactures Mobile Clinics with and without expandable sides. There are multiple types of expandable sides available. Although expandable sides increase the price of the Mobile Health Clinic, some types of expandable sides provide significantly more interior space without an associated significant cost. To learn more about the types of expandable sides and how they can increase the interior space of your medical unit, see STEP 3 CONFIGURATIONS.
We manufacture medical vans painted in a single color with simple vinyl graphics. We also manufacture them with high impact full body wraps that grab the attention of everyone who sees it. If you are trying to market your mobile healthcare services, the body wrap creates a beautiful rolling billboard advertisement. When purchasing a full body wrap, there are design fees and wrapping fees, as well as several options for the lifetime of the wrap. Most full-body wraps of 53 foot (16 meter) double expandable trailers cost a total of $12,000 - $25,000 USD depending on the complexity of the design. This covers the design, custom graphics, the materials and labor for installing the wrap.
Just like building a home, you can outfit your Medical Vehicle with top-of-the-line or bottom-of-the-line accommodations. Because Odulair specializes in mobile medical units, we line the interior walls with Trespa, which has naturally antibacterial qualities and is the European standard for lining the walls of operating rooms and other facilities where sterility is paramount. We offer both solid surface and laminated counter tops as well as laminated and solid wood built-in cabinetry. We also utilize the Herman Miller Co/Struc Movable Cabinetry System where relocatable cabinets are necessary. As staff and patient seating comfort is vital, we offer the full line of Herman Miller healthcare and commercial-grade seating including patient seating with a 100% silicone material that can be washed with bleach without damaging the fabric. Odulair medical units utilize the latest technology in LED lighting and energy efficient air conditioning with extra insulation and heat reflecting roof paint to keep operational cost as low as possible.
In many cases, just the switch from high-end to mid-range to low-end medical equipment can alter the price of the medical van as much as several hundred thousand dollars. Medical devices, and mobile medical clinics, are just like automobiles, they may both have four wheels, but a Rolls Royce cost a lot more than Kia. With medical equipment, and with your Mobile Health Unit, you get what you pay for.
At Odulair, we provide high quality medical vehicles incorporating high quality American and European medical equipment that holds the FDA and CE Mark respectively. Another factor in the price of a Mobile Clinic is the amount of medical equipment required. Once again, medical vans with one general practice exam room will be up to hundreds of thousands of dollars cheaper than very specialized mobile clinics that require many complex, expensive medical devices. This vast range is the majority of the reason that it is difficult to provide accurate price ranges before defining the specifications of your specific Mobile Clinic.
In the United States, you will need to pay Federal Excise Tax (FET), which amounts to 12% of the price and must be collected and paid by the seller, similar to sales tax. In general, FET is due on the first retail sale of vehicles over 26,000 pounds GVWR. However, there are some exceptions:
Odulair will determine what FET, if any, they must collect and include it in the sales agreement. You should be aware of it and include it in your budget.
